Crinkled Comics is the flag under which the venerable Juan José Fernández self-publishes his comics.

Shit, that’s me!

Born in Venezuela in 1990, moved to Spain and finally found myself in the promised land, Cleveland, Ohio. I’ve been writing and drawing comics since 2009. I’m a fortunate bastard, seeing as how I’ll be studying at the Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont in the Fall of 2012. This website is an introduction into my world of comics. Sometimes things will make you groan, at other times they’ll make you smile. I hope the smiles happen more frequently than the groans.

I’m a thorough comics critic. If you’d like me to review your comic, send me an email and we’ll take it from there.

I currently live in Pittsburgh and have studied at Carnegie Mellon University. It’s been a good place but full of too many robots, too much conceptual art and not enough comics. I’ve managed the freeform Radio Station, WRCT Pittsburgh for two years now. It’s a rad station that you should listen to if you’re looking for quality music curated by veteran DJs.
